About us

Perthshire Brass, for the past 40 years, has been a community brass band offering opportunities for young people to continue their music making beyond the school provision, making brass banding a hobby for life. We perform regularly around Perth & Kinross supporting events and charities and enjoying performances in a variety of settings. We compete nationally, and travel abroad on a regular basis – strengthening friendships with twin cities and giving young players the chance to have unique performance experiences and encounter new cultures.

We have a youth and main band, giving players a clear path of progression from back row parts in the youth band through to exposed principal seats in the main band. We rehearse every Sunday, and each week across our 2 bands we have an average of 60 players through the door and a total membership of 77. All are welcome to our band and our overall ethos is that we are a family band and our greatest strength is our commitment to each other. We currently compete in the Scottish 3rd Section.
